Medical Records Clerk
Job Description
Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare currently has a position opening for a Medical Records Clerk. Duties include:
- Creates and maintains electronic records of OBHC clients;
- Prepares correspondence and outgoing mail including e-mail and faxes;
- Ensures copies of correspondence or other printed materials are scanned and kept on file;
- Reviews medical records for completeness, assembles records into standard order and files records electronically in designated areas according to applicable alphabetic filing systems;
- Responds to requests for information from files according to established policies and procedures;
- Compiles statistical data as requested;
- Posts progress notes and other treatment data to records;
- Scans materials or copies records, and examines materials for legibility;
- Selects and packages files for movement, transfer and permanent storage;
- Ensures records meet or exceed WAC and contractual record compliance;
- Provides back-up coverage in reception as needed;
- Maintains regular and predictable work attendance;
Qualified applicant must have excellent grammar and communication skills, be proficient with computers and other technology, be highly flexible and able to multi task, and possess excellent customer service skills. Candidate must also possess a high degree of ethics and an ability to strictly maintain confidential information.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Prefer one year certificate from college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Starting pay range $18.70 - $19.00 per hour.
