Job Description

OBHC is accepting applications for a Parent to Parent coordinator to help families in Okanogan County. Parent to Parent is a peer support network for parents, guardians, family caregivers and nonfamily caregivers supporting an individual with a developmental disability or other special healthcare needs. The coordinator facilitates communication within the network so that families can navigate systems, share resources and strategies, and support one another emotionally. The ideal candidate will be able to: listen carefully and with empathy; write clearly and be willing to speak in public; organize volunteers and events; maintain a budget; maintain accurate records and submit reports on time. 

 

REQUIREMENTS: Must be a parent, guardian, or family member of an individual with special needs (living or deceased) to work remotely from home; familiar with MS Office and Outlook and have internet access for work related use.  Must be a self-starter.  Bi-Lingual English/Spanish a plus. Passing a background check is required. This is a part-time position at 15 hrs./week, $15/hr.
