Job Description

OBHC has an open position for a full time Youth Peer Partner on our Wraparound Intensive Services (WISe) team to provide services to identified children and their families.  The successful candidate will have lived experiences with their own behavioral health challenges that they have recovered from and can share their story for the benefit of the clients receiving services. The position receives regular supervision from a Mental Health Professional on staff.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide advocacy services
  • Assists clients with referral and connection to needed resources, serving as a mentor to promote hope and empowerment.
  • Provides peer support to and from community functions, appointments, schools, homes, and/or other locations as needed.
  • Facilitates and coordinates a wide range of scheduled activities to assist clients in exercising control over their own lives and recovery process for themselves
  • Complete required documentation of services and progress notes, following agency procedures, policies and standards
  • Co-facilitate groups as assigned.
  • Provide crisis diversion as needed
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance
  • Significant travel is required based on the location of the enrolled youth

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Washington Driver’s License
  • Completion of, or ability to complete within 6 months of hire, Washington State Peer Certification Program (Certified Peer Counselor Licensure)

Salary Range:  $18.70 - $20.20 per hour DOE
