OBHC has developed a Wraparound Intensive Services (WISe) team to provide services to identified children and their families. We are currently accepting applications for the position of Youth Partner Peer Support Specialist.  Duties will include providing advocacy services to promote a team culture in which each individual's point of view, experiences, and preferences are recognized, understood, and respected; Along with the rest of the team, the Youth Partner is active in supporting and implementing recovery/resilience/wraparound philosophy and its individualized, strengths-based, culturally competent, family-centered approach. The Youth Partner works collaboratively with other program staff and the assigned team to provide the best therapeutic care possible.

The ideal candidate for this role should be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities. This is not a Monday through Friday, in the office all day position. There may be night and weekend hours, which is all dependent on the needs of the client and their families. There may also be visits in client homes or other facilities throughout the county. 

This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Washington State Driver's License.  Youth Partner Peer Support Specialists are qualified through their lived, personal experience as a consumer of mental health services and must be in mental health recovery for at least 1 year.  Must be able to obtain Peer Counselor certification through the State of Washington within 6 months of hire date. Qualified applicant must have excellent grammar & communication skills, be proficient with computers & other technology.  OBHC offers a very competitive benefit & compensation package.
